It is also during this era that the heart symbol becomes intertwined with the myth and legend surrounding the Holy Grail.

Its not needed that heart tattoos have to be red. In actuality, they can be any color you want. Many people settle for simple black designs that stand out like embroidery on skin. Others choose to add blue highlights or any other color their imagination can envision. Many women get heart tattoos because of the acceptance of the symbol and it’s meaning is very clear.
