About Window Condensation

Window Condensation is a usually home damage problem, when water on the inside of your home’s windows in winter time is also known as condensation. Consequently in severe situation, moisture will permeate the material. For this reason these windows are not sealed units, so any moisture can escape between the panes. The acrylic used in these windows is slightly hygroscopic. Usually no moisture produce , but it will occur if it is cool inside, warm and moist inside and the caravan becomes warm very quickly.

Prevent for Window Condensation

  • First thing use a dehumidifier. The similar machine that gets better the humidity level in your home in the summer will also decrease or completely get rid of window moisture in the winter.
  • Switch on ceiling fans to flow the air. The blowing fan can hearten evaporation.
  • You should be used exhaust fans when cooking. This steam you see coming off your cooking meal will ultimately end up on the walls or windows
  • With using a fan that exhausts to the outside, you drag the moisture filled air out, preventing or decreasing interior moisture make.
  • Similarly with your bathroom shower where use the exhaust fan or at least curb on the steamy showers.
  • A too much number of plants can increase moisture to the air. Scatter the plants throughout the house or use a dehumidifier.
  • Also moisture can come by bedroom windows that are seemingly away from all sources of moisture.  People give off moisture too. So you could open a window about one inch at night to allow the moist inside air to mix with the cool outside air to stop condensation on the window.
  • When you can have warmer air smooth across the inside face of the window this will keep the water from condensing on its outside.
  • Avoid have drapes or blinds closed on your window - they will impede the flow of warm air.
  • Avoid lower the inside temperature of your home too low. Colder air cannot hold the moisture and it will compress on your windows.
  • Switch on your bathroom fans when you are running water, showering or bathing.
