How to get rid of scuff marks

The scuff marks are the small trace of hard rubber or plastic items. There are various products are available for the scuff mark so it is the easy method to remove it. For removing the scuff mark always use a solvent or solvent-based cleaning wax. For removing the scuff marks toothpaste, soft cloth, metal polish, clear shoe polish are essential.

Steps involved to remove scuff marks

  • Make a paste out of baking soda and water and use that to scrub the scuff out.
  • Use washing machine for the scuff marks cleaning purpose.
  • The vinyl may be helpful for the scuff marks.
  • To put the acetone on spot and take the scuff off the shoe then put just a little vaseline on the spot and rub it in this keeps the material from drying out.
  • Try removing the undesired stuff with a toothbrush.
  • To wash with detergent and water and rinse to remove any solvent residue. Rub the heel mark with a paste of baking soda and water.
  • A black permanent waterproof marker can remove black granite tiles of the scuff marks.
  • The scuff marks are removed with an ordinary pencil eraser.
  • The nail polish remover is also effective for the scuff marks on patent leather shoes.
  • Use a bit of vaseline and dab it on a bit of kitchen towel tissue and scrub on the mark which can easily remove scuff marks.
  • The Clorox wipes may effective on the scuff marks.
  • By rubbing the scuff with non-gel toothpaste, rinse, wipe and let dry.
  • To scrub the Pergo laminate floors with a pad and cleaner.
  • To try auto scratch remover for removing the scuff mark.
  • The Methylated spirits are useful for the removal of the scuff marks.
  • Try a commercial concentrated household cleaner containing petroleum solvent, or a solvent-based cleaner.
