How to get rid of rust stain

Rust is a red-orange chemical. The rust can developed from iron corrodes in the presence of oxygen and water. Now a day there are so many commercial rust remover are available which are very effective on the rust stain. Some stains are better off left alone. It is difficult to remove rust stains from fabric without damaging colors because some products contain the more amount of chemical which are damage the fabric. The rust stain is caused by irrigation from most inorganic surfaces including metal siding, concrete, stucco, grout.

Important steps to get rid of rust stain

  • Saturate the rust stain with straight lemon juice and then launder it.
  • The acid-based cleaner is very effective for the rust stain.
  • Apply more oxalic acid solution and allow it to sit for another 5-10 minutes then the rust stains are gone.
  • The mixture of white vinegar and hot water are used to remove the rust stain.
  • The rhubarb is very effective for the rust stain.
  • Wet a cloth and add ZUD and add a little more water then clean the area.
  • Scrub with SOS which may be easily remove rust stain.
  • Watkins Toilet Bowl Cleanser are used to remove rust stains from toilet bowls.
  • The hydrofluoric acid is the active ingredient in rust stain removers.
  • Baking soda paste works in taking rust off vinyl floor. Leave it on for several hours and then scrub.
  • Scrubbing with a mixture of cola and salt will remove rust.
  • Pour a pile of table salt on top of the rust spot then squeeze lemon juice over it then rust stain may be gone.
  • Oxygen bleaches are used in the products designed to remove organic stains.
  • Never use chlorine bleach on a rust stain.
