How to braid hair in a Rope Braid ?

The Rope braid is a traditional braid used since a long time by women and even men. Following is the procedure to get a perfect rope braid:

  • Begin with the section of hair from the forehead to the crown in a triangle shape.
  • Be sure to comb through all the hair and remove all tangles before you begin.
  • Next, divide the triangle section into three smaller sections and hold them in between your fingers with one hand.
  • Now, you will need to use both hands, starting with the right section cross is over the middle section shifting the section to the opposite hand, then cross the left section over the section that is now in the middle.
  • Then place all section back into the beginning hand separating each section with your fingers.
  • While holding all three sections in the beginning hand, flip your hand to twist the braid you are holding, now you should have all three sections but in the exact opposite order than before.
  • Take a small section of hair from the right side of the head and add it to the right section of hair you have for your braid, now cross it over the middle strand.
  • Place on the sections in your opposite hand separating the sections with your fingers.
  • Take a small section of hair from the left side of the head and add it to the left section of hair you have for your braid, and cross it over the middle section of the braid.
  • Then place all sections back into your beginning hand.
  • Now, flip your hand to twist the braid you are holding, now you should have all three sections but in the exact opposite order than before.
  • Repeat the above step until you reach the nap of the neck.
  • You can make loose or tight braids according to the tension you hold on the braids.
  • You can now place all the hair in a hair tie and leave the ends loose or you can continue braiding to the end of the hair and use either a clip, ribbon, or tie to decorate the end of the hair.

Beauty Makeup Tips

If you dont have a specialized contouring product for your cheeks, simply use an ordinary face powder a couple of shades darker than usual one to slim round cheeks.
