Finding a perfect pair of jeans can turn out to be strenuous job given the indifferences in body dimensions of women. On the contrary, the one you found may be too long or little loose at your waist. Also, it is quite possible that you lost some kgs., but your existing cloths loose fit on you now. This situation calls for alteration, which can be easily done in ordinary clothes but a not so easily, if you think of altering jeans.

How to bring in the waistline on loose-fitting jeans
Altering jeans with a loose waistline could be bit complicated, though you can do it perfectly with some instructions and practice, and get the right fitting.
Insert two pins in a 'V' shape along the back side belt loops, pointing towards the bottom. Cut the waistline making two skinny 'V's, where you have inserted the pins. Now, match the edges (of the 'V's) perfectly and iron the denim patches onto the inner part of the waistline. It should be stuck over the joined edges of the 'V' cuts. Now, stitch the edges together by hand stitching or a sewing machine. You can try fitting of the jeans and if you still find it loose, repeat the process. This time, do it by removing the upper seam of the center back belt loop and cutting a small 'V' through that line.
