10 must-knows for teenage boys

Teenage is the period of psychological, social, and physical transition between childhood and adulthood. Boys cannot open themselves to anyone. Teenage boys have a hard time expressing their emotions. A boy is not expected to reach out to his family, his friends, his counselors, or coaches -- for help, comfort, understanding, and support.

Here are some of the points which may be useful for teenage boys:

  1. Stay away from tapered-leg pants.  They usually tend to look outdated and old-fashioned.  
  2. You can better understand the social pressures women face if you step into their shoes. 
  3. Teenagers who are consuming 2,000 calories per day should aim for 2 cups of fruit and 2 1/2 cups of vegetables every day. You may need fewer or more servings depending on your individual calorie needs, which your health care provider can help you determine.
  4. If you are a teen and looking for teenage dating advice, then first ask yourself what you can get from teenage dating, before you practically start searching for your dating partner.
  5. Teens need five and one-half 1 ounce-equivalents of protein-rich foods each day.
  6. Always dress appropriately for the occasion and situation that you are in. 
  7. Teen boys need iron to support their rapid growth––most boys double their lean body mass between the ages of 10 and 17.
  8. If you are wearing a short dress you may want to think about getting a nice strapped sandal that looks young and stylish. To compliment an elegant long dress you can wear short heels or as some choose a ballet slipper.
  9. Teenage boys needs recommended 1,200 mg of calcium per day
  10. Matching is very important. Make sure that the colors of your clothing match.  Don't mix patterns.  

Some more points for teens boys:

  • Your voice changes. It seems to “crack” for a while and then it becomes deeper.
  • Don't use pick up lines. Unless they are something really corny used as a joke, if not they are just plain stupid and offensive.
  • Your shoulders become broader and your bones become denser. Later your muscles grow larger and you gain weight.
