Mostly people like to wear the chiffon dresses as party wear. It is special occasion fabrics. This fabrics require more and more care. If it cared properly it looks for a long time. There are various types of chiffon. But the most popular is silk chiffon because it is light weighted and delicate. Poly-chiffon is version of silk chiffon.
How to take care of chiffon?
Silk chiffon is most delicate, it can be tear or snag so we have to take special care of this. Avoid to wear a jeweler that hangs below the neckline or earrings which touches to the shoulder. Use only fabric belt. Take care of your dress particularly when you are going to sit on chair or table that they do not have sharp edges. If this fabric shrunk or wet, it will not return in his original stage.
Light weight chiffon or silk chiffon must have dry clean. Clean it after every use. Chiffon tends to become distorted more easily when wet.
Some tips to take care of clothes
- Do not press a dirty garments.
- Do not over dry it.
- Be careful when you will use deodorant or perfume.
- Do not store it in plastic bags.
There is no easy remedy for chiffon caring. Mostly chiffon is cuts on bias. repairing or redesigning is hard task. It become distorted more easily when wet. The yarn can separate but there is no home remedy for it.
