Cause for puffy eyes - cause puffy eyes

The early morning puffiness sometimes feels very nice and sexy to your partner. These heave, out of sleep eyes also cause problems when it sticks to you even after the long morning hours. This condition called puffy eyes is something which is affecting the women and also men in present times and they all are searching for the reason and solution for them. It is no longer sexy for the partner.

Puffiness or fullness of the skin under the eyes can be due to a number of causes. If mild, these changes are usually temporary and don't require medical treatment. Puffiness can also be triggered by an allergic reaction to food, dust or pollen, or due to an allergic skin rash elsewhere on your face. If the allergy isn't treated, this temporary puffiness could become permanent.

Causes of puffy eyes may include:

  1. Changes in your body's fluid balance such as due to weather changes, travel or hormone fluctuations.
  2. Hangovers can also produce puffy eyes.
  3. Drug induced hypothyroidism(such as lithium) can also cause puffy eyes.
  4. If itching or redness accompanies the puffiness, it may be due to an allergy or dermatitis.
  5. Fluids get trapped in the tissues under the eyes. Usually the eyes are puffiest when you awake. Puffy eyes can also be a sign of sinus and allergy problems.
  6. Puffy eyes can also be a heredity problem.

Some tips for reducing mild puffiness:

  • If puffiness is worse in the morning, try elevating the head of your bed
  • Apply cool tap water compresses to the skin under your eyes

Tea bags aren't effective in decreasing puffiness unless you chill them and use them as a cold compress. Restricting fluids probably won't help and isn't recommended without a doctor's advice.

If the puffiness is severe and persistent, see your doctor. Your doctor will want to rule out other possible causes such as thyroid or kidney problems.

General exercise for the eyes:

Keeping your head stationery revolve your eyes as much as you can in every direction: sideways. below, upwards in a clock-wise and then anti-clock wise fashion. Do so, for a couple of minutes every day. Then put rose-water soaked pads on them. These exercises will not only make your eyes look more beautiful. but eye-sight will also improve.
