Well the most popular makeup item which every women wants to keep with her is mascara. If there is one item of makeup, most women would take to a desert island, its mascara. Use a water proof variety to withstand tears, shower and swimming - but remember you'll need a suitable eye make-up remover to tke it off as it clings more fiercely to your lashes than the other type.
